This isn’t your average orientation—it’s your first big step into college, and we’ve packed the day with everything you need to feel prepared, confident, and excited about life as a ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Lion.You’ll:

• Meet your fellow classmates and start forming your Pride
• Connect with current students and get the real scoop on college life
• Explore campus so you feel right at home from day one
• Get insider info on housing, financial aid, scholarships, student services, and more

Families are Part of the Pride, Too!

We know that your support system matters—so we’ve planned special breakout sessions just for family and guests. They’ll hear directly from campus leaders about:

• Academic support & tutoringCampus safety
• Housing & meal plans
• ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ services
• Scholarships & financial aid...and so much more!

Mane Event is required for all incoming first-time students, and it’s the best way to kickstart your experience at ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ.

• July 11 (Spanish-language family track available)
• July 25

Special Note: A dedicated Spanish track for families will be available during the July 11 session to ensure every member of your support team feels welcomed and informed.

8:15–8:45 AM | Check-In & Resource Fair
Kick off your day by checking in, grabbing your schedule, and exploring our Resource Fair! Meet campus departments, student orgs, and grab some ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ swag.

9:00–9:45 AM | Welcome to ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ!
Get energized with an upbeat welcome from:

• Chancellor Dr. Terisa Riley
• Your Cub Camp Leaders
• Orientation Staff & More!

Plus, we’ll walk through your Mane Event schedule so you know what’s ahead.
 
10:00–11:25 AM | Choose Your Own Adventure
Pick the sessions that matter most to you—these quick, high-impact sessions cover everything from student success to financial aid to getting involved!

• 10:00–10:25 AM | Session 1
• 10:30–10:55 AM | Session 2
• 11:00–11:25 AM | Session 3
   

11:40 AM–1:50 PM | Lunch & Tech Time

You’ll rotate between:

Lunch – Fuel up and chat with fellow Lions!
Technology Session – Learn to navigate myÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ, email, and more.
(Your Mane Event Leaders will let you know which one you do first!)

 
2:00–2:45 PM | Meet Your College
Wrap up the day by connecting directly with your academic college. You’ll hear about:

• Your degree program
• Faculty expectations
• Support available in your field
• What to expect in your first semester
   
  That’s a Mane Event!
  By the end of the day, you’ll feel ready, connected, and confident as you begin your ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ adventure.

9:00–9:45 AM | Welcome to ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ!
Get inspired with a lively kickoff featuring:

• A full overview of the day’s schedule

This session sets the tone for an unforgettable journey ahead.
 
10:00–11:25 AM | Choose Your Own Adventure
Enjoy three quick, engaging sessions focused on the resources and support systems available to help your student thrive. You'll rotate through each one!

11:35 AM–12:40 PM | Lunch with the Lion Family 
Enjoy lunch while hearing from current ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ students, staff, and family members. You’ll get real talk on what to expect, how to support your student, and how to stay connected throughout the year. You will also during this time be able to write a letter to your student that we will mail to them during the Fall semester. 

12:45–1:45 PM | Next Steps for Families
This session dives deeper into:

• Financial aid and billing
• Academic support services
• New Student and Family Programs
• Communication tips and family engagement opportunities

It’s everything you need to walk away feeling informed and confident.

2:00–2:45 PM | Meet Your Student’s College
Join your student to meet their academic college! Learn about programs, expectations, and how faculty and advisors support student success every step of the way.
